What is a
Technical Diver?
The PADI Tec Deep Diver courses takes you past recreational diving
limits and
immerses you in
the world of
technical
diving.
This program is
split into three
parts: Tec
40 Diver, Tec 45
Diver and
Tec 50 Diver.
PADI
Tec 40 Diver
The Tec
40 Diver
training allows
you to:
- Use
decompression
software and
dive
computers to
plan and
make
decompression
dives with
no more than
10 minutes
of total
decompression
and not
deeper than
40
meters/130
feet.
- Use a
single
cylinder of
decompression
gas with up
to 50
percent
oxygen
(EANx50) to
add
conservatism
to the
required
decompression.
PADI
Tec 45 Diver
The Tec
45 Diver
training allows
you to:
- The
skills and
equipment
and planning
need to dive
to a maximum
of 45
meters/145
feet
- The
knowledge to
plan and
execute
single and
repetitive
decompression
dives using
a single
stage
cylinder of
EANx or
oxygen to
accelerate
or add
conservatism
to the
decompression
stops.
- There
would be no
time limit
to amount of
decompression
- Prepare
for and
respond to
foreseeable
technical
diving
emergencies
- Master
the basic
skills and
procedures
you’ll need
as you move
into deeper
technical
diving
PADI
Tec 50 Diver
The Tec
50 Diver
training allows
you to:
- Make
actual
decompression
dives as
deep as 50
meters/165
feet
- Use
Enriched Air
- Nitrox
and/or
oxygen for
decompression
- Use desk
top
decompression
software to
create
custom dive
tables and
plan your
dives
- Qualify
to make
technical
decompression
dives
independently
What do I need to start?
In order to take
the PADI Tec
40 Diver Course you must first have the following
Prerequisites:

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
- PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver (or equivalent).
- PADI Deep Diver Specialty (or equivalent)

Have a
minimum of
30 logged
dives of
which 10
must be
Enriched Air
(Nitrox)
dives deeper
than 60
feet.

In order to take the
PADI Tec 45
Diver Course you must first have the following
Prerequisites:

Diver.

What else
will I
learn?
Your buoyancy
and awareness
will increase
dramatically as
you learn to
multi-task
underwater. You'll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical
diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable
technical diving emergencies.

When you sign-up for the class the Store Class/Pool Fee will be
collected. Class size is limited, so early registration is recommended!
Are there
additional
boat fees?
These deep
dives require
exclusive boat
charters,
therefore there
will be boat
fees. The
boat dives will
be arranged by
your Instructor,
and fees will
vary due to
class size.
