get trained as a Rescue Diver. As a Rescue Diver you will be better able
to help other divers in need and provide self-help wherever needed. This is a
key step toward becoming a PADI Divemaster.

Why should I take the PADI Rescue class?
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and
experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond
yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this
course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
The Rescue class is a MUST for every diver.
What do I need to start?

What will I be doing or learning?
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems
and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water
sessions, you'll cover:

Self-rescue and diver stress

Dive first aid
-
Emergency management and equipment

Swimming and non-swimming assists

Panicked diver response
-
Underwater problems

Missing diver procedures

Surfacing the unconscious diver

In water artificial respiration

Egress (exits)

First aid procedures for pressure related accidents

Dive accident scenarios

How much is it going to cost me?
This class includes classroom and ocean dives along with your

The total training fees are $125.00. The fees are broken down in order to
provide many training options to our clients. The breakdown is as follows:

What is the class schedule?
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a one week course consisting
of two classroom sessions and one weekend of pool/ocean dives. The pool/ocean
training will include self-rescue skills, how to deal with tired divers,
panicked divers, lost divers, unconscious divers and many other rescue topics.

What will I need to buy?
Each Diver will
need to have the

Signaling
Device (Whistle or Dive Alert)

Visual
Signaling
Device
(Signal
Tube)

Cutting device (Knife or
Shears)

Pocket
Mask
Before your ocean dives, you will need your own personal snorkeling gear which
includes a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves.
You will also need to have a PADI Dive Table or Wheel and a timing device or
dive computer and a log book.

What can I rent?
You may rent the rest of your SCUBA diving equipment if
needed. This includes your wetsuit, hood, regulator with compass, weight belt,
buoyancy control device (BCD) and tanks.
Medical Concerns or Questions?
If you are currently under the care of a Medical Doctor, or
have a pre-existing medical condition that requires permission from a
Physician, you will need to have a signed Medical Release form from your doctor
before you can participate in any in-water activities.
